In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise belongs to Allah, the Sustainer of all worlds, who grants us strength in moments of
despair and fortitude in the face of injustice.
Today, as the world witnesses the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, we bow our heads in
gratitude to Allah for this moment of reprieve for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. This
ceasefire marks not just a pause in violence but a testament to the resilience of a people who
have endured unimaginable hardship with unwavering faith, dignity, and courage. It also reflects
the power of collective action, as the cries of Gaza reached every corner of the globe, stirring
the hearts of millions and awakening a resolve within the Muslim Ummah to stand united.
The struggle of Gaza has been a crucible for the Muslim world. It has compelled us to confront
not only the horrors of oppression but also the depths of our own strength, resilience, and unity.
In this past year, we have witnessed an unprecedented mobilization of the global Muslim
community, particularly here in America. From mass protests to strategic civic engagement, the
American Muslim community has made its presence felt. Through relentless advocacy, we have
changed electoral landscapes and political dialogue, ensuring that Gaza became the moral and
political centerpiece of national discourse.
The 2024 elections proved a watershed moment, as Muslims across the nation stood together
in unity, translating the pain of Gaza into decisive political action. We demonstrated that we are
a community that cannot be silenced, a community that will persist in the face of adversity, and a
community that will fight for justice—not just for ourselves, but for all those who are oppressed.
Today, we congratulate the people of Gaza, whose resilience has been a source of inspiration
for us all. Your courage has awakened the conscience of a sleeping world, and your
steadfastness has united us in ways we never thought possible. We pray that Allah grants you
continued strength, dignity, and success. May He heal your wounds, protect your future
generations, and open the doors of His infinite mercy upon you.
But this is not the end of our struggle—it is merely the beginning. We call on the Muslim
community to seize this moment of newfound strength and unity. We must commit to sustained
engagement and advocacy to ensure that the tragedy of Gaza is never repeated. We must
ensure that our mosques, our organizations, and our voices remain active in the political arena,
holding our leaders accountable and championing the cause of justice for all.
Let this ceasefire be a reminder of what can be achieved when we unite for a righteous cause.
And let it be a call to action for every Muslim to invest their time, energy, and resources into
building a future where oppression has no place and justice prevails.
May Allah guide us, unite us, and strengthen us in this noble endeavor. Ameen.
